At HORIBA MIRA we are implementing and developing advanced services through long-term targeted research, advanced test development and key investments to ensure that our customers are ready for the challenges ahead. Vehicle Resilience is one of these services.

Vehicle Resilience will develop innovative, multi-skilled, cross-discipline engineers with a team ethos and a desire to collaborate using new tools and methods. This opportunity is focused primarily on Functional Performance, and more specifically connectivity and advanced verification test methods, however the cross-discipline  approach to Vehicle Resilience will allow successful applicants the opportunity to work on the safety and cybersecurity aspects of Vehicle Resilience also. Applicants will need to demonstrate high level skills in a number of key areas such as systems engineering, advanced verification development, software / product design and next-generation reporting including advanced metrics and data visualisation.

We are looking for dynamic proactive technologists to form part of the HORIBA MIRA growth strategy. Applicants will therefore demonstrate drive, determination, and a desire to succeed.


Candidates should have the following experience for this role;

  • A minimum of 10 years experience in a relevant field is essential and in excess of 15 years is preferred. Relevant fields include, but are not limited to:
  • Hands-on cybersecurity specialist in a high technology industry or within the automotive industry
  • Cybersecurity research specialist
  • Experience covering part periods across a number of applicable fields totalling the required period will also be considered.

  • Plan and prioritise delivery of both short and long duration projects
  • Deliver customer expectations in a timely fashion, to aid contractual / financial goals

Candidates should have the following qualifications for this role;

  • GCSE English/Maths/Physics are essential.
  • A Degree or PhD are preferred.
  • Applicants below PhD level must demonstrate at least 15 years experience in a relevant field.
