Description

As a globally distributed SCRUM team member you will participate in the development of class leading data acquisition, automation and data management software platforms and applications. Your job would be to develop user interfaces, software components, web applications and service coding in TypeScript using Angular Materials/React and C# (.NET Core, ASP .NET MVC) for a Web target environment.

This role will be expected to make a contribution to optimising the effectiveness of our development activities in particular and the quality of our operations in general.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Design and development of user interfaces, software components, Docker images and services for automotive test applications in a microservices environment
  • Validation and verification testing of application code
  • Work within an ISO9001:2008 and TickIT certified software development process
  • Work within global distributed teams, supported by a range of distributed collaboration technologies
Experience

The ideal candidate will have competence and experience in the following:

  • JavaScript /TypeScript, HTML5 for UI/UX using Angular Materials/React libraries
  • Microservice architectures and REST interfaces
  • Docker
  • Object Oriented Programming/UML
  • Agile software development processes (SCRUM, Kanban, TDD, BDD) and tools, including source control systems

Experience of any of the following would be advantageous

  • C# (.NET Core, ASP .NET MVC)
Skills

Key skills include:

  • The ability to deliver to agreed deadlines
  • Some knowledge of automotive engineering or a degree or equivalent qualification in a related subject, such as engineering would be an advantage
  • Experience of using automated software testing tools would be an advantage
Qualifications

This role requires qualifications to degree or equivalent level. Previous industrial experience is expected.

Other information

This role is based in Worcester with occasional business trips within Europe.
