Description

The primary purpose of this role is to support the development of next-generation automotive cybersecurity engineers. In turn the individual will support the development and delivery of MIRA’s automotive cybersecurity engineering, testing and assessment services. As such, the role will include but not be limited to working on projects that include the following elements:

  • Cybersecurity threat and risk analysis
  • Cybersecurity test planning and execution
  • Design, development and problem solving to ensure client product security

Secondary focus will include supporting the wider vehicle resilience team with:

  • The development and delivery of advanced electromagnetic resilience services
  • Perform any associated new technology research and horizon scanning

This technical role requires a highly motivated individual with an aptitude for creative but structured problem solving and an interest in new technology.

Experience

 

Essential:

Basic knowledge of some combination of the following:

  • Vehicle architecture
  • Basic components of an automotive ECU

 

Preferred:

Basic knowledge of some combination of the following:

  • Computer science programming
  • Software programming
  • Wireless technologies (e.g. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth)
Skills
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks in required time
  • A good level of written English
  • Good organisational skills
  • Proficient IT skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to contribute as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
Qualifications

 

Essential:

  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths

 

Preferred:

  • GCSE or equivalent in a technical subject, for example Computing, Engineering, Science or Design & Technology
