Description

 

Are you a competent IT Support engineer with solid experience of working in a corporate environment providing 1st & 2nd Line IT support?

Working as part of our close-knit IT support team you will utilise your excellent hardware, software, networking and fault-finding skills to provide technical support for incoming IT related issues for all areas of the business.

You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to manage incoming requests for support via the telephone, email and walk-in visits coupled with the confidence and ability to deal with people at all levels.

As well as being competent using a service desk call logging system you will have a good knowledge of SLA’s and how to escalate a support request.

With a flexible ‘can do’ attitude, you will be used to working as part of a team and to tight deadlines.

 

Experience
  • Working in a similar IT Service Desk role providing 1st & 2nd line support
  • Be competent using a Service Desk call logging system with knowledge and understanding of SLAs and escalation

 

Skills
  • Have excellent hardware, software, networking and fault-finding skills
  • Be a good verbal and written communicator whilst being comfortable interacting with other team members, managers and customers
  • Have strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes and resolve calls
  • Have strong learning skills
  • Be a team player with a flexible and “Can Do” attitude
  • Can work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Qualifications

 

Essential:

  • GCSE grade C or above in Maths & English
  • Level 3 IT qualification, CompTIA A+, Microsoft or similar recognised accreditation

Preferred:

  • IT related GCSE grade C or above
  • Level 4 IT related qualification / Computing Degree
  • ITIL Foundations or equivalent service desk industry qualification
  • Technical Certification (Microsoft \ CompTIA or similar)
